If a one-legged woman holds a fundraiser and no one shows up, did it really happen?

Today Heather Mills made an appearance at Finsbury Circus to launch an auction for celebrity shoes on eBay to raise funds for the Mines Advisory Group charity but in stark contrast to the mobbing that Sir Paul McCartney experienced when he made a public appearance a few days ago, the Daily Mail in the UK is reporting that no one bothered to show up. The Mail goes on to say that '...the only members of the public who paid any attention were a couple of office workers eating their sandwiches in the square.'
I'm sure there is a clever joke in there about people not showing up because they want their shoes to come in pairs but as this is a classy blog I will let you drop your jewels of wisdom in the comments.

Did she really show up at a Circus. A vegan Peta member at a circus?
that's what gold digging slags get
she gives Peta a bad name
PEREZ IS STEALING YOUR PICTURES
wtf? a cardboard box in times square gets more onlookers then this broad! where the hell are all the people walking around london and stopping to see what a table full of shoes, a broad, and a bunch of photographers were doing in the middle of park
Why do they bother letting Anna blog on this site? The only funny one is Chris.
Circus: (Chiefly British). An open circular place where several streets intersect.
i'd give her the 250 million or whatever amount she wanted if every event was her and a bunch of crickets.
why doesn't someone just assassinate her?
