Hyde is classified as a restaurant, so anyone can enter - at least that was Hyde's explaination (or excuse) when asked why they let all those Laguna Beach brats in a while ago. Same for the "clubs" Area and Les Deux. The "21 and over" thing these days is just like saying "proper attire required". It's just a way for the place to keep you out, if they want, without getting sued. Plus it's Hollywood. The cops don't seem to care or these places would be chained shut by now.
