Britney Spears gave everyone a scare as she was whisked to Century City hospital late Sunday afternoon. The troubled singer was driven there by her entourage and stayed for around an hour before leaving, sparking new fears over her health. On lookers reported Britney ran in through a side entrance, being covered by her bodyguards, and got into the elevator." Before appearing from the lift once again and rushing back to her car. "No one knows what Britney was doing in there," the onlooker said. "There were rumours flying around that she just had a dental appointment at the hospital, but no one can be sure. It could be more serious than that. "She certainly has not been herself lately so anything's possible."

Earlier in the day Britney got a quick bit to eat at the Barefoot Cafe in Beverly Hills before making her way to an 11am church service in Bel Air. She is also understood to have met with her Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor in the afternoon.
