There is a massive, glaring difference in MTP's relationship with Nicole and his relationship with KAK. When MTP was with Nicole, he did appear at ease and, overall, happy. So did Nicole. She never looked like death warmed over, or like a L. Ron Hubbard-piloted spaceship had landed on her face on the way to the photo op sporting event. When she and MTP held hands, it wasn't the desperate for attention clutching that MTP and KAK seem to have mastered. I think "desperate" is the perfect description of MTP and KAK's relationship. Everything about them, from day one, has reeked of and screamed desperation. Despite contract-planning dating for several weeks, without the media finding out, they were desperate to call attention to their relationship and went overboard in Rome. When MTP appeared on Oprah, he practically shoved his agreed-upon love for KAK down the general public's throat by continuing to pump his fist, alternately yell "I'm in love!" and "Yes!", and jump on Oprah's couch before dragging the walking blank slate herself out in front of the audience. Then the various relationship movie promotions, with the overdone dips, kisses, poses, then the very public proposal in Paris. All this within the span of two months! If that doesn't stink of desperation, I don't know what does.
With Nicole, MTP didn't seem to care whether people accepted his relationship or not - - unless, of course, they went to the tabs and blabbed about a contractual relationship. But even events like that didn't send MTP to tow Nicole to a pap-infested restaurant, or children's sporting event, glammed up and pushing the MOST! IN! LOVE! COUPLE! (but not with each other) EVAH! image down the public's throat.
Ultimately, this is what has been wrong with TomKat from day one, and what will eventually sink them. They are so desperate to sell the image of the romantic, fairytale couple, with MTP as the most manly, hetero man evah, they don't realize the harder they try, the bigger the hole they are digging.
I never really paid any attention to Katie before she hooked up with TC. Looking back at pre-TomKat photos of her, she was a cute young woman. She is now a shell of her former self--thin, haggard, hollow-eyed--and as everybody has already said, comes across as a total airhead.
I wish they would just give up this sham. I feel sorry for Suri because she has such idiots for parents.

I like them and hope they last. Suri is precious.
