i recall a month or so ago Opri stated publically that she was no longer charging Larry for her services and was doing this pro bono. I don't think this is money related.

did anyone else notice how Larry was acting embarassed by her at the joint press conference announcing they had all agreed where to bury ANS? He was visibly turning away from her.

I think Larry finally got a clue that her abrasiveness and her obvious dislike for ANS wasn't doing anything positive for his image.

I'm not surprised at all at this so called breaking news. I thought it was a long time coming, after all the two of them competing for the spotlight had to get old eventually. On a serious note - The court battle has gotten ugly, and in my opinion a lawyer like Debra Opri come a dime a dozen, they are always looking for the case that will make their career. Understanding that she has to be paid, Ms. Opri herself has put herself out there in ways that can't be retracted, she hasn't helped Mr. Birkheads case in my opinion at all, and now maybe he sees what the rest of us who are not blinded by the spotlight sees, she's trying the case in the media and getting little or nothing done in the court room.

he should have dumped her when she tactlessly tried to get some court order enforced against ANS 2 days after her son died. extremely insensitive...larry seems like a decent guy, he needs a decent attorney.

Lets face it LB has just sold out to HKS. Opri is honest and couldn't work with the stench any more. Larry and HKS have been together in this unholy union since the begining. Why didn't Larry tell the nurses, doctors, or the Law at the hospital, when Anna was detoxing at the beginning of her pregnancy? HKS has too much dirt on Larry so he does his bidding and could not to do this the honest way. I believe that Larry, HKS and Anna took drugs, and probably still do. Larry is not an honest man or he would have fought with his bulldog lawyer not to settle. The deal is in and it stinks. And so does Larry. This is all for guess what MONEY. I think they call settlement Blackmail, remenber the Clown movie? Coming soon to your TV the Larry and Stern movie in d--g. I used to think he might be a nice guy. Now he's just another rotten egg. It is so nice that the boys are together again.

Just one more thing Lawyers are supposed to be confident, tough, abbrasive and fight tooth and nail for their clients. It also helps if they are smart, honest and uncompromizing. Now Opri is all of the above and so is Barth and Rale, but with Barth and Rale you have to ommit the word honest. It's not that they lie it's just that they don't tell the truth they know. Opri made Larry look like a good guy.

I have to agree ... that HKS has dirt on Larry and vice versa . There for Debra Opri had to go .

Honestly I liked her style . She goes for the neck and doesn't let go !!

I do not believe that Larry is a smart guy but I am sure HKS is a smart lawyer .

In other words Larry regardless of the dirt HKS has on him ! Larry really needs Debra Opri .

She didn't know jack about the Bahamian legal process. Why just last week she was quoted as saying Howard K. Stern could not avoid the jurisdiction of the L.A. County court system, when in actuality he's been doing exactly that for months. Now that a Bahamian judge has ordered a DNA test the battle is basically over. The truth will come out and if Larry's DNA matches good for him.

Debra Opri has been horrible since her Micheal Jackson mess. Larry is bing billed over 620,000 for her "services". If this is pro bono, I have some land for sell in Arizona.
