McDreamy gets his McPeddle on

It's a gorgeous day here in Southern California and while I'm trapped behind my computer for a few more hours, Patrick Dempsey capitalized on the weather and took a spin around Bel Air on his bike.
Why do people have to get all Lance Armstronged out when they hop on their bike? It's not like he's training for the Tour de France of the Giro d'Italia, a t-shirt and shorts wont cut it? He has to rock the spandex suit? When I see people like this riding along
the strand I just want to throw rocks at them like I do to the *ssholes that wear speedo's on the beach.
dont hate on your speedo wearing homies
I'm with chris - its gross and annoying
I live in the Midwest USA, and we've had great weather the past few days, bringing out all our cyclists. I wear jeans and a t-shirt when I go for a bike ride...but then, I'm not a "cyclist." I finally asked a guy in spandex with all the accoutrements, why he wore it. He said if you are going to do some serious cycling for a couple of hours or more(!) it prevents chafing and rashes, deals with perspiration better and it is altogether more comfortable. Now I feel like I might try it...or not.
I used to be one of those Spandex hating folks... that is until I started cycling. Although the stuff may look queer there is a purpose to all of it... the shorts have padding and prevent chafing. The shirts are made of material that breathes better than a t-shirt and wicks moisture away. Take a couple of hours in the saddle and you'll be glad you're wearing your gay looking stuff!
I'd throw rocks at him too...and you other guys that just admitted to wearing it......
