Author Kurt Vonnegut passed away today aged 84. Vonnegut, regarded by many as a key influence in shaping 20th-century American literature, had suffered brain injuries after a recent fall at his Manhattan home, his wife, photographer Jill Krementz told reporters. Picture by Thomas Hinton.
