Michelle Monaghan, who may not be an A-lister as of yet (but could very well be after GBG) was also Tom Cruise's leading lady in Mission Impossible 3.

Casey Affleck was cast and had already finished shooting The Assassination of Jesse James opposite Brad Pitt when Ben picked him for Gone Baby Gone. He was already doing well on his own. His role in the Jesse James flick is a major one as Robert Ford.

In case you jerks have not read GBG, the location is Boston and Ben wanted authentic Boston accent for the role. Casey pulled it off very well so back off you haters.How dare you ridicule this men when you can only wish in your wildest dreams that you have their lives.

i can't believe how so up in arms the haters here are. though I'm not much of an affleck fan, it's really quite amusing that you bash the guy when he hasn't done anything to you. in my opinion he lives a decent, quiet and uncrazy life. after the j.lo bruhaha, he has tried to rebuild his life. if you don't like him, then don't watch the movie, don't support him. but to call him names and demean him? that's more of a reflection of the kind of people you are than the kind of person Ben is.

Have you ever considered that this lower-class Southie Irish accent is what was exactly intended to be used in the film?

I've also read on a lot of sites several comments by critics who have previewed the film, and even the book writer has praised the authentic Boston feel of the movie, from the actors' delivery of the lines to the production design.

As someone who is married to a Bostonian, I'm certainly looking forward to seeing the film.
