Jessica's 'Blonde Ambition' Flops

Jessica Simpson's acting days look numbered with her latest movie set to go straight to DVD. Simpson's 'Blonde Ambition,' a remake of 1980's hit Working Girl, is reportedly so bad that producers decided to pull the plug on a theatrical release. "The movie is absolutely horrible," said a source. "It's just a bomb, mainly because of Jessica's acting." The romantic comedy, which co-stars Luke Wilson, will be released on DVD January 22.

It's only going to DVD because all the blogs were tearing it to pieces before even seeing it.
I feel sorry for Jessica. The film is probably a cute chick flick and deserving of a theatrical release.
She can't act for shit. I'm so not surprised.
By the looks of it, they should have made the announcement about her Major Movie Star gig going to DVD as well. From the trailer, it looks like yet another stinker.
Maybe country music will be her thing but me thinks she should shit can Daddy as her manager and get a REAL manager and music producer.
Movies just aren't her thing. No one takes her seriously so she ends up with the lame "comedies" and she can't even pull those off.
LOL, Stupid Bitch
Anna this is a Lie. What a shame. Why write such trash without checking you facts. Blond ambitions wil be in theaters December 21st in Texas and from there they will decide which market to release it in. Secondly the producers said he is extremely happy with Jessica's performace so much that he produce the second movie that she will also be staring in "majoy movie stars". Take a hint from real Journalist and check your sources first cause then you Anna Shanks looks like the bigest ass. How Stupid! Sad sad sad.

"The movie's release had been pushed back to March 28, 2008. The film will now be released on January 22, 2008 in Straight-to-DVD format."
SONY Pictures
It's a $22.49 pre-order on Amazon.com ;-)
I take issue with the use of the word "flop" here. It isn't a flop if everyone knew all along that it would be crap.
A limited run in her lil ol' home state? What are they doing, looking for the sympathy movie goer? I don't think there is such a thing. lol
The producer did NOT say she was happy with her performance. She said Jessica fans would be thrilled. Hardly a ringing endorsement of her acting ability. They're trying to flog the movie so they need some sort of positive spin. :-)
