Jessica Alba has opened up about her pregnancy on American Television. The well know starlet took the studio's yesterday, entertaining both The Today Show and David Letterman with her thoughts on her new found motherhood. The actress, who has just returned from the Sundance Film festival in Utah, remained coy when asked if she was having a boy or a girl. Appearing as a guest on the Late Show with David Letterman she refused to reveal the sex of her baby, even though she might know if it's a boy or a girl.

"I'm not saying anything. But I might know if it's a boy or a girl."

The Sin City star also revealed what it was like in the early weeks of her pregnancy and her shock at seeing her body change, she said:

"It was hairy. All day sickness, it really wasn't fun. You're expanding in places you never knew existed, and you're like, 'what's going on here?'. You go, 'What's happening?' You definitely have to go with the flow. You have to surrender, but it's a shock to the system. Again, I've never been one to emphasize anything on my looks or anything. It was just the polls, the magazines, they do it. It was never my thing. So I really don't care."

The actress also admitted she had struggled in the early stages of her pregnancy. She added:

"It wasn't like morning sickness, it was all-day sickness. [but] I feel really blessed. I feel really lucky. This is the best time ever. It's the best year."
