Phoebe Price doesn't mean much to us over here in the UK, and it turns out, until last August Chris didn't really know who she was either. But thankfully, the wonder of You Tube and IMDB taught me more than I'll ever need to know about this woman. I've learnt she has an annoying accent, she hasn't acted in anything I've heard of, and her mum (pictured) once carried a gun because of the nasty threats her daughter received. But, I felt she was worth a post, if only to marvel at her pale skin and posing determination. Oh, and because she gave a homeless person a whole dollar - not the sandwich they originally asked for. Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin could save her house, if she promises to never wear fur again. The singer reportedly now owes a total of $19,192 in back taxes on her Detroit mansion from 2005-2007 - all stemming from a missed $445 tax payment. Franklin says an attorney's mistake caused her $700,000 mansion to slip into foreclosure over $445 in 2005 taxes and late fees. But now PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) have offered to help her out. The animal rights group has written a letter to Franklin offering to pay her $19,000 tax bill if she promises to never wear fur again. PETA also wants her to donate her unwanted furs to the group - like Mariah Carey and Kim Cattrall have done. The letter reads: "Dear Ms. Franklin,

"I am writing regarding the pending foreclosure of your home. We would like to help you out by paying the approximately $19,000 in back taxes that you owe - if you'll agree to save animals from hideous suffering and death by promising never to wear fur again and donating your old furs to PETA. We are absolutely sincere in making this offer-we believe that you know in your heart that your fans will love you even more if you make a fur-free resolution." "Our offer is a win-win situation: You get to keep your home, and animals get to keep their lives. We are rooting for you to please give animals the R-E-S-P-E-C-T that they deserve by giving up fur. Please contact me as soon as possible to discuss our offer. Thank you very much for your consideration."

Franklin has until March 31 to pay up and reclaim her home.
