Ashlee Simpson: Now 'Completely' Off The Market

Ashlee Simpson and her rocker boyfriend Pete Wentz have confirmed they are engaged. According to a US magazine, Joe Simpson, Ashlee's father is said to be "totally happy" and "so excited to have Pete as part of our family." In a statement released on Wednesday evening, they said:

"We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all your support and well wishes - it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, but we wanted you to hear it straight from us. - Ashlee and Pete"

I must admit that I knew Ashlee as Jessica's younger sister and barely knew Pete before I kept seeing them in the news. Having said all that, I think they really look like a great couple - defintely extremely well matched. And just on the basis of that, I wish them all the best! Congratulations!
