Actor and director Sydney Pollack passed away last night in his Los Angeles home after losing his battle to cancer aged 73. The two time Oscar winner was most noted for his award winning film Out Of Africa, but he also earned nominations for Tootsie and They Shoot Horses, Don't They? 

Sydney Pollack also worked along side the likes of Robert Redford, Jane Fonda, George Clooney, Kate Winslet, Woody Allen, Anthony Mingella, Tome Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Sean Penn, Barbra Streisand and Holly Hunter.
