'Hills' star Lauren Conrad who launched her eponymous clothing line a couple months ago received the news that her collection has been dropped from trendy Robertson Boulevard boutique Kitson. Her clothing line was criticized for being an overpriced American Apparel ripoff and the failure is also attributed to LC's lack of commitment to promote the line.

"Sales were lackluster. Initially it was great. They need to realize it's no different than selling your album, your TV shows, your movies. You have to keep promoting it."

Upon hearing the news Lauren muttered "You mean it was real? I thought it was pretend like my TV show and my life!"
