I never expected Michelle to go, even before it was publically announced. that she wasn't going to attend. Michelle is not a publicity whore. I'm sure she'd rather watch Heath's last completed film on her own time, rather than in the company of a bunch of media...The flashbulbs would've been all over her if she'd attended.

I don't think it's fair to say that Naomi Watts was"just an ex-girlfriend." She really did love Heath, just read the interviews she did while they were dating. Just because she didn't marry him or have a family with him, doesn't mean she didn't love him. As for Michelle, maybe it was just too hard for her to attend.

According to many people in Australia, Naomi was the 'one that got away' for Heath and he regretted losing ever since, hence he became very depressed and became so close to Michelle Williams, as a way to 'forget' Naomi. Heath and Naomi lasted 2 years and would have lasted longer if it wasn't because he got cold feet about settling down so young, as Naomi was desperate to get married and have children with him. Many think he panicked and fled from the relationship, only to greatly regret it later. He then fell inlove with Michelle, but it wasn't the same type of love as he had had with Naomi. Then Michelle got accidently pregnant, supposedly, and the guy was stuck with her until he could get rid of her without people judging him a 'cad', which he wasn't. If she hadn't got pregnant, he would have dumped Michelle long before he did, and make no mistake, HE is the one who finished the relationship. He loved his daughter, but not the mother that came with her. It is fitting that Naomi attended this premiere because Heath and her had something very special and only because of his immaturity did they lose out on that, which is something Heath constantly kicked himself about. Also why should Michelle attend the premiere when everybody in Australia knows he actually had another girlfriend after her who he was very happy with, Gemma Ward? If anyone, SHE should have gone to the premiere, but she hasn't been seen for months, as if she has had a breakdown or something.

How unbelievably disrespectful these comments are to the family, friends and mostly Heath Ledger himself. I cannot believe that he would remotely support ANY negative comments about the mother of his only child or speculation about his relationships, particularly who he loved most. I believe all mentioned to be good and decent people. Mostly, I believe Heath Ledger was an artistic genius and a loving and passionate soul. Posts like Joanne's make me ill and desecrate the memory of this fine man. As for Michelle Williams, she will always have my utmost support and respect. She has conducted herself with grace and dignity in the most difficult of times.
