Cheeta the Chimp, looking muscular and well-groomed in these photos, has an army of fans campaigning for him for his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The chimp, who is officially the world's oldest chimpanzee at 76 years old, made his fame by appearing in 12 Tarzan movies. Although he hasn't worked in over 40 years, there are many people that feel he deserves the same recognition that was given to Lassie and Rin Tin Tin.
I was surprised to see that Cheeta has not worked in over 40 years... I could have sworn I saw him in Rambo, Over The Top, Cobra, Lock Up and Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot.
You can join the petition to get Cheeta his star here. Do it for all exploited monkeys and apes.

I remember as a kid watching all the old Tarzan movies. I feel in love with Cheeta and wanted my parents to get me a chimp for a pet. Yes, if Lassie and Rin Tin Tin can get a star I think Cheeta should too.
