Isaac Hayes, best known for his "Theme from Shaft," voicing South Park's "Chef" character from 1997-2006, and receiving Grammy and Academy Awards, was found dead on Sunday, as stated by the Shelby County Police Department. It has been reported that a family member found him unresponsive near a treadmill inside his home.

Hayes was pronounced dead at the Baptist East Hospital in Memphis at 2:08 p.m.
