Positive comments were made by David Hasselhoff, who said "I'm questioning my sexuality", after watching Barry's toned figure and cleavage in action, while Sharon Osbourne said "I just love you - I love Britney. I think there's room for two Britneys".

However, British judge Piers Morgan was less positive, stating "I don't think, personally, that grown men should be wearing school girl outfits and pretending to be Britney Spears". But Barry was unrepentant, claiming that "Toxic" singer Britney Spears was his inspiration and defended his routine by saying "There may be people or critics that don't approve of what I do and they may not approve of her, but I'm here because she is so talented. Regardless of what Morgan thought, the audience certainly enjoyed watching Derrick Barry impersonate Spears.
