A new ad campaign being created by Microsoft will involve Jerry Seinfeld, at a cost of $10 million in payment for the comic actor! However, as the budget for the entire campaign is believed to be $300 million, then Seinfeld is only a very small part of it. The commercials, which will feature the comedian along with Bill Gates, are expected to debut on September 4, according to the Wall Street Journal. The ad campaign is believed to be aimed at denting Apple's popular marketing campaigns which have made Apple appear "cooler" than PCs and Microsoft in the public mind.
Seinfeld, who made a fortune from the comedy show "Seinfeld", has been relatively quiet in recent years, apart from providing his voice for "Bee Movie" and turning up on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "30 Rock". But when Bill Gates comes calling with a big, fat check, it seems not even mega-rich Seinfeld can say no.
