"Married With Children" and "Samantha Who?" star Christina Applegate, turned up on Good Morning America to talk about her ordeal with cancer. Applegate, who is 36 years old, was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this month. The actress decided she would have a double mastectomy, having both her breasts removed, rather than go through chemotherapy or radiation treatment. Fortunately, Christina made the right choice, as she appeared on GMA to reveal that she was now clear of the life-threatening condition, even joking: "I'm going to have cute boobs 'til I'm 90, so there's that. I'm going to have the best boobs in the nursing home, I'm telling you. I'm gong to be the envy of all the ladies around the bridge table, right?" (due to the reconstructive surgery she underwent).
"The Sweetest Thing" actress also spared time to thank her mother for her support. Applegate's mother is the singer/actress Nancy Priddy, who is also a breast cancer survivor. Christina now wants to start a special programme for women who can't afford the MRI scans which help detect cancerous cells and tumors at early stages. Christina Applegate will be appearing in "The Rocker", a comedy film due for release tomorrow, August 20, 2008.

Dear Christina, I'm a big fan and I hope this all works out for you. I hate to point this out but I missed the part where you said that you're going to quit smoking. Best Wishes.
