"X-Files" star David Duchovny has checked into rehab to battle an addiction to sex.
"I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction," the actor said in a statement on Thursday. "I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."Duchovny, who also starred in the Zalman King early 90's soft-core porn series "Red Shoes Diary" is married to actress Tea Leoni and previously denied he was a sex addict in 1997 with an interview with Playgirl magazine.
