"Highlander" actor Sean Connery, pictured wearing a blazer and tartan scarf, was all smiles as he appeared at a book festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. The former "James Bond" star was clutching a copy of his tome called appropriately, "Being A Scot". Connery had just celebrated his 78th birthday.
Connery last appeared in a film in 2003, in "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", although he did provide his instantly recognisable voice for "Sir Billi the Vet" in 2006. However, there are few film fans that would argue that his greatest acting moments were in films such as "Dr No" and "Goldfinger".
