She also claimed didn't want an engagement ring either, because they are "just material and silly", instead she wears a band on her ring finger over a Roman numeral tattoo, that Jay-Z also has. Beyonce also claimed she "always knew" she would end up marrying the hip-hop mogul, saying, "what Jay and I have is real, it's not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It's real. We've been together a long time, we always knew it would happen." 

Beyonce and Jay-Z are notoriously tight-lipped about their relationship and refused to confirm they had tied the knot despite widespread reports, before spilling the beans at last to 'Essence' magazine. Beyonce said she was satisfied with a small and intimate ceremony, telling the magazine: "It's been my day so many days already."
