An American company called Computer Choppers has taken a regular iPhone 3G and added 24 carat gold plating to the device, so it would look quite at home appearing in Puff Daddy's jacket pocket or Paris Hilton's handbag.

Customisers have clad the previous iPhone model in gold, but this is believed to be the first attempt at gold-plating the new 3G version. The cost of this Bentley of cellphones has not yet been confirmed. However, the non-gold plated iPhone 3G sold over a million handsets in the first 3 days of release according to Apple.
