The temporary conservatorship over Britney Spears that puts her estate in the control of her father, Jamie Spears, has been made permanent.

The change was made out of convenience and not due to Britney's behavior or actions, which in the last several months have been much improved and the pop star seems like she is back on track to stardom. Instead of constantly returning to court to extend the temporary order, the conservatorship was made permanent with the idea that eventually, when Britney is deemed capable, she will regain full control of her life and finances.

Another thought is that under the watchful eye of her father, the Gimme More Singer will have a better chance to regain custody of her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
