Newlyweds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon displayed a serious amount of public affection last night, as they attended the 2008 Whitney Museum Of American Art Gala in NYC.

While appearing on "Good Morning America" yesterday (Monday) the "Touch My Body" singer says she fell in love with husband Nick Cannon "instantly" and admitted that she did give the couple's ten-year age difference thought, but decided not to let it get in the way of their romance.

He is a great person, he has a wonderful heart, he is funny, he makes me laugh, I could go on with the list but we do not have enough time.

You know what I did (give the age difference a second thought), but he does not act like it. He is really very intelligent he is a very business-minded person but he is also a lot of fun, so you do not think about those things.

The happy couple were joined by Juliette Lewis, Sting, Trudie Styler, Christina Ricci, Donatella Versace, Becki Newton, Helena Christensen, Jane Krakowski, Patrick Dempsey, and Emma Roberts.
