With Lindsay Lohan's banishment from her guest role on "Ugly Betty," it is beginning to sound like her career in Hollywood is coming to end.
"It's over for Lindsay," said one well-placed Lohan source. "She's got no film work, after this ('Ugly Betty' news) she's not going to land TV jobs; I hear she's tried to get on 'Dancing With the Stars' and can't."Lindsay's career arc from famous to infamous is actually pretty typical for Hollywood and with the world's appetite for celebrity news, pictures, and scandal, growing faster than a Mid-Westerner's pant size, we are going to see more and more of this.
Another industry source added, "Every project she's had has fallen through. She's not even filling up her time with independent films, which is usually the strategy when work gets slow. She's a good actress, she's just stuck right now."

Well-placed sources, however, tell TVGuide.com that such "editing" rumors are completely untrue, yet confirm that Lohan's run will end early — strictly for "storyline purposes." Summing up the rash of Thursday-morning gossip, one setsider tells us, "It's all so silly."
A statement from the show's producers reads: "[Lindsay] did a great job and we enjoyed having her. Viewers can look forward to her episodes tonight [at 8 pm/ET] and next week." Lohan's publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, has yet to respond to our request for comment.
I don't really care if she ever gets her career back. It's one thing if someone gets into drugs or alcohol or something happens in their life to screw their career, because in those cases, I'm all for the person making a comeback (like Britney, for example). But Lindsay just thinks she's the most in-demand actress in the world with how she treats her work projects (ugly betty, whatever she was working on when the director/producer wrote her the letter that became public). She takes everything for granted, she deserves none of it.
