A bundled up Kate Beckinsale stepped out in the New York City district
of SoHo yesterday. A chill was in the air but from the way the Van Helsing star was snuggled up to this mystery man, I doubt she noticed.
Kate, whose husband Len Wiseman is probaly swamped finishing Underworld: Rise of the Lycans and starting Gears of War, based on the hit video game, was not wearing her wedding ring.
Is this normal for Kate or is something up between her and her director hubby?

No, Kate not wearing her wedding ring is not unsual. As for the guy with her, that is her assistant. Kate & Len are very happy together, at least it certainly seems that way. She and Len were looking mighty cozy on a furniture shopping trip, and hosting the International Film Aid event just a couple of days ago.
Kate not wearing her wedding lately is a little unusual. Wouldn't that be for any married woman?! Yes. Of course..only Kate and her husband would know what's true! NOBODY outside her circle would know. Remember...this is "hollywood" were talking about. Look's can be very deceiving!
SInce Kate and Len have been married, it's not unusual for her to not be wearing her wedding ring, or wearing a different ring. In fact, photos much more recent than this show Kate and Len to still be very cozy, holding hands and kissing while shopping. I doubt very seriously that's a put-on for the cameras.
As for the guy she's with in these photos, he's one of her assistants and I believe he is gay!
