Madonna and Guy Ritchie's split plans were confirmed in a statement from Freud Communications today, in which they asked us to respect their privacy while they deal with the heartache-- and resultant drama-- that comes with a break-up after almost 8 years.

In other Madonna-related news, Star magazine has reflected on Madonna's cryptic message during her October 6th concert in New York City. Concert goers got to hear Madonna tell the audience that "In exactly 29 moves, the Queen will dump the King!" She coincidentally had 29 stops left on her U.S. tour-- but it looks like she couldn't wait.
