The Governor of Alaska has been chosen as an unofficial spokesperson for a brand of condoms, set up by a New York entrepreneur. Although the condoms are meant to be a joke, with slogans such as "hockey mom approved", they might prove to be controversial regarding Palin's anti-abortion views. The condoms are advertised with the slogan: "when abortion is not an option".

44 year old Palin has 5 children. Her eldest daughter, Bristol, became pregnant at the age of 17 and intends to keep the baby and marry the father of the child. The Sarah Palin Condom makers poked fun at this, quoting Bristol as saying "I wish I had one of those!".
