Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are making the jump from faux-reality TV to real TV with a guest spot on an upcoming episode of CBS' How I Met Your Mother according to Us Weekly.

"We can confirm that Heidi and Spencer will appear on the show, but we can't give away anything specific about the episode," Co-creator and Executive-Producer Craig Thomas said. "All we can say is that they play themselves."

This shouldn't be much of a stretch for either of them since Heidi and Spencer play themselves on MTV's The Hills. They will be filming their scenes sometime this week with the episode airing in January.
