Last Week, while attending a Paul Newman tribute event, Joaquin Phoenix shockingly announced that he was retiring from acting to concentrate on his music and last night the Gladiator star turned up at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood for the 2008 AFI Fest with the words "Good" and "Bye!" written in black marker on his knuckles.

But in a possible fit of dyslexia he had written them backwards so instead of sending the message of a heart felt au revoir, what we get is a confusing "Bye! Good." Huh?

If you saw the retirement interview on Extra, he does look completely out of it and now Page Six is reporting that friends are concerned with his behavior and slurred speach.
