Madonna & Guy Ritchie Granted Divorce in 56 Seconds

Madonna and Guy Ritchie have been granted a quickie divorce today.
The decree nisi was announced at the Principal Registry of the Family
Division in High Holborn, London, but the pair did not attend. It
brings to an end almost eight years of marriage for the former
celebrity golden couple who married in a fairytale wedding at Skibo
Castle in the Highlands of Scotland on December 22, 2000.
Their case, Ciccone M L v Ritchie G S, was listed
before District Judge Caroline Reid along with 16 others for
"Pronouncement of Decree or Order Under the Special Procedure."
Dozens of journalists filled Court 10 to listen to the names, which
were sixth on the list, be read out by a court clerk and then District
Judge Reid asked if there were any objections, which there were not.
The hearing lasted just a minute and Madonna
and Guy's divorce will now be made official with the decree absolute
being announced in six weeks and one day if there are no further
objections.
The couple announced their divorce last month. It is thought the
lawyers worked tirelessly in order to finalize the divorce before
Christmas.
Film director Ritchie, with a reported
fortune of £30 million, is allegedly not going to take a penny from his
former wife who is said to be worth £300 million. But the agreement
states that the couple will share custody of their sons Rocco, 8, and
David Banda, 3, who was adopted in Malawi. They will divide their time
between New York, where Madonna now lives, and London where Ritchie
lives and is currently filming his new film Sherlock Holmes.

Madonna is a complete and total nut. Good for Guy to out of there alive... It's a shame for the kids though, they won't get out of her clutches anytime soon.
