Kirsten Dunst Has A Stalker
9:30 Tuesday, December 2, 2008
Actress Kirsten Dunst has been granted a restraining order against an
obsessed stalker who climbed a gate at her Hollywood Hills home and
knocked on her front door. Stalker Christopher Smith had never met the Spider-Man star but told cops he was in love with her and believed they had a "spiritual connection." In her declaration, Dunst says:
Dunst has been granted a temporary restraining order banning Smith from going within 200 yards of her until the case goes to court later this month.
"I do not know and am not personally acquainted with Mr. Christopher Smith and I have no desire to have any contact with him. Mr Smith's sudden, aggressive, and harassing efforts to contact me are extremely frightening. I fear not only for my own personal safety, but also for the safety and well being of my housemate and assistant. Mr. Smith is apparently mentally ill, and, although he has never met me, believes that he has some sort of spiritual connection with me."Dunst was not home at the time but her personal assistant slammed the door in his face and called police. Smith ignored a police warning by returning several times the following day and repeatedly called the intercom. He was arrested for trespassing after again getting into Dunst's grounds and was put on a 72-hour psychiatric hold.
