Ashlee Simpson Defends Her Big Sister

Singer Ashlee Simpson has taken to her MySpace blog to defend her sister's curvier figure after several magazines, papers, and websites called Jessica fat.

Since when did a woman's weight become newsworthy...

I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister's weight. A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman's weight or figure as a headline on Fox News.

All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you're a celebrity, there shouldn't be a different standard.

Is this something you would say to your wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, or even a friend?

I seriously doubt it.

How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure?

Now can we focus on the things that really matter.

Ignoring that there is no way in hell that Jessica is a size 2 (not that there is a problem with that), Ashlee manages to eloquently state that the truth, making fun of women because of their size or weight is pretty ridiculous. She looks like Anna Nicole now that she gain weight. And basing by her look,she needs to watch out her weight otherwise she will end up being overweight. She really does look overweight though. Too many excuses and her sister defending her sister's weight ,but ashlee will not say anything or defend someone if it was NOt Jessica. Come on , truth hurts but lets just face the truth, being curvy is not bad but if being curvy+overweight comes together then ,lose some weight .too much health risk.Why on earth would she wear this trashy and crappy outfit anyhow. I have no clue. If you dont want to be criticised then wear something classy.

First of all Jessica is clearly not a size 2. Try a 12...and I'm being kind.

Second of all, you Simpsons weren't concerned about the message Jessica was sending girls when she was prancing around half naked in the Dukes of Hazzard and music videos.
