Just over a year ago, it would have been safe to say the name 'Gwyneth Paltrow' was paling into the shadows of celeb-ville, sheltered by the role of motherhood and a loathing of the watchful paparazzi. But with the passing of two new movies, she quickly found herself reemerging into the limelight faster than one of Madonna's growing biceps. 

And it appears her sudden polished appearance of 2008 is here to stay for 2009; as she continues to attend event after event looking happier and happier. With last night being no exception. 

Splash spied the actress out and about wearing an adorable short cut coat and plum-colored dress, while joining Kelly Rutherford and Christy Turlington, in the West Village of NYC. Gwyn was attending the "Bent for Learning" benefit at the Stephen Weiss Studio.
