Director Says Russell Crowe Dominates Brad Pitt

This sounds a bit like sour grapes to us but State of Play director Kevin Macdonald says he's glad Brad Pitt dropped out of the movie because Russell Crowe is better suited for the role.
Pitt pulled out at the last minute and Crowe stepped in to star as investigative reporter Cal McAffrey.
But as for the Gladiator star, he reserves his attacks for us poor hacks, saying that despite playing an investigative reporter in the film he has no sympathy for them whatsoever.
