Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr has admitted he dyes his hair to hide the fact that he is going grey.

The actor sports a touch of grey in his latest role as an LA reporter in The Soloist. But he confessed his wife Susan tells him to use hair dye to stop him looking like "an old man."

She just told me to dye my hair. She said, 'You're an old man. Dye your hair. Just a little bit.'

Lowlights, we call them in the business. I'm just staving off the inevitable.

Downey's wife is a makeup artist so she knows what she's talking about but we think a little gray suits the actor quite well.
