CANNES: 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus' Premiere

Director Terry Gilliam posed alongside Verne Troyer for the world premiere of, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

This was a bittersweet film for Gilliam because this is also Heath Ledger's final film.  Terry initially wanted to completely shut down production, but when actor's Jude Law, Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell stepped in to complete Heath's role, he knew the show must go on.

"Fortunately I was around really good people who insisted I shouldn't be a lazy bastard and I better go out and find a way to finish the film for Heath.  And that's what we did."
