Madonna's brood is expanding!
Malawi's highest court ruled today that Madonna can adopt her second child - 3-year old Mercy - from the African country.
Madonna's lawyer, Alan Chinula released this statement:
"It's the early hours in New York now but my client has been awake all night waiting for this. She was ecstatic when I broke the news to her. She said, 'Thank Heavens.' "
Travel arrangements and documents are currently being prepared and it is said that mother and child can be together as early as next Wednesday.
During the one hour hearing, Chief Justice Lovemore Munlo said, "Every child has the right to be loved."
