All I have to say, is its about time he's got some "security" guards with him. If he's been walking around without them like he did after twilight and the filming of new moon, who knows what would have happened!!

I think people need to learn some things about respect and personal space. There is a way to go about things. This is a blatant example of what NOT to do.

I'm sure the way to "make Rob Pattinson fall in love with you" doesn't involve screaming, clawing, crowding, or especially choking him (at least not in the way it was done in this video).

That is insane. Don't these women know that it is not only criminal but also NOT NICE to just grab someone you don't know and attempt to fondle them. How would they react is some random guy off the street did the same to them? They would be creeped out and indignant, as any normal person would be. Leave the man alone!

That elegant and sophisticated fangirl, not a New Yorker by any stretch of the imagination, could have injured Rob; especially to his cervical vertebrae with the sudden grab to his neck area comparable to whiplash. Summit has to hire effective security and more of them; the bodyguards in Cannes knew exactly what they were doing with hundreds more surrounding them; don't yell at and argue with the fangirls, instead rush Rob the heck to his destination. Excess time on the path to the trailer was a factor in this. I hope Summit treats the goose that lays the golden egg with more care than what we've witnessed today on the first day of shooting.

My first thought was what were the bodyguards thinking to let people get that close to him?! My second was these girls/women need to have some respect! That was just plain wrong. Unfortunately, they are probably laughing and basking in their 10 seconds of glory as I speak, (Oooo I touched him!) Just disturbing. I hope Summit get some kind of control on this so it doesn't happen again.

I was there taking pictures of him and these girls ruined EVERYTHING. If you loved him so much you wouldn't attack him as if he wasn't a human being. Would you do that to someone walking past you on the street who you don't know? Absolutely not They ruined it for EVERYONE because i'm SURE if everyone was calm he would sign autographs for people and take some pictures, but no. These little tween girls absolutely RUINED it. It's upsetting and embarassing that Rob has to think of his fans like this and I HOPE he knows that there are fans that would not DREAM of doing that to him. It seemed like when he left he didn't even want to deal with any of the fans so, everyone can thank the little posse of girls who probably should have been at home in bed for all of this.

He didn't get enough security that's definitely the problem. I don't think these are the only girls who'll do this any obsessed fan could have done it. Especially if it's a once in a lifetime chance. When he was filming new moon he didn't have this problem. It was totally secure.

i was at the filming today and was just in complete shock of what was going on. i stood across the street and just watched all these idiot girls throw themselves at him. they kept talking about how they were going to run at him and do anything they could to get close to him. it was embarassing just to watch them. the morning, like before 11am, everything was fine and everyone was calm, then all turned to hell when they went to lunch. the director had to talk to everyone watching and tell them what they were doing was unsafe and they needed to shut up and be respectful or they would have to shut down. these girls were bothering him the entire morning and ran to him multiple times, even though this video only shows them doing it once. it was horrible to watch and i felt so bad for rob, i mean hes trying to freakin work! i can't imagine anyone having to go through what he went through today. i hope they up his security now and get these crazy fans off of him. the crazy psycho girls like these ones ruin it for fans like me, who are respectful and just stand in the back and enjoy watching him film. i was just in complete shock of what had happened.

That female should be arrested and charged with assault as would be anyone who accosted a normal person. The writer above is correct in saying that just because he is an actor does not give fans the right to treat him in such a manner and if these nonsensicle teens do not stop mobbing him they will surely force Mr. Pattinson to be more hostile and less accesible. First, my number 1 gripe: Summit Entertainment, get some REAL security for the biggest star you have! Obviously the ones Rob had today were doing a pathetic job. Why in the H E L L are the fans allowed that close to the set anyway????!!!! Doesn't it cost the studio a lot of money to have to keep stopping filming because of the chaos being caused by the noise the fans are making in the background and the paps snapping away all the time?

I cannot believe Summit allowed Rob to be put in such a terrifying position! He could have been hurt by one of those crazy women! It really mad me mad! I'm still angry!!!! Reading through the comments I wanted to point out that several of these "girls" are definitely NOT "girls" (I doubt they have been described as such in quite a while).

Although teen fangirls do seem to run in packs, I've noticed that it's the older fans (meaning over the age which would get Rob arrested, were he so inclined) that seem to cause the problems. They are the ones who no longer have immaturity (in physical age at least) as an excuse, and yet they somehow feel entitled to put their hands on him, demand photos/autographs as he is leaving the mens room, interrupt his meals, or attack him while he is attempting to do his job, as shown here.

Teen girls are more along the lines of paparazzi, in that there are more of them, but they tend to just scream at him and blind him with photos. Of course, once someone else makes the first move then all bets are off and his security had better be up to the task. Otherwise the poor guy will have even more reasons to be paranoid.

I can only hope that friends/family of these so-called fans (although if you were truly a fan why you would want to put someone you claim to admire in this situation is beyond me???) see the pics of their assault and have a few words with them about their inappropriate and reprehensible behaviour.

I myself think Rob's bodyguard's need to keep some pepper spray or maybe even a stun gun. If these childish so called women think they have the right to assault Rob, then his bodyguard's should assault them right back. Then have them arrested!

I was at the filming yesterday i got there early in the morning and stood across the street like the film crew asked i was disgusted with the way some of the girls were acting, they were flat out immature. I love pattinson as we all do and i would love an opportunity to meet with him just like im sure millions of other females would too but the way these girls act with the screaming and jumping and pulling at him is disgusting and i feel horrible for him. Yes it was extremely exciting to see him in person but if these immature little girls cant control themslelves they shouldnt be allowed around the film sets it's not fair to the rest of us who know how to act maturely and im sick of theyre immature outbursts giving the rest of his fans a bad name. Maybe if they knew how to behave themselves then he would have to run and pull disappering acts maybe he would actually spend a few mins with his fans after shooting to sign autographs and what not these girls are ruining things for the rest of us and its sad. I agree with most of the comments on here, and I would also like to apologize to Rob for BAD fan behavior.

I think it was not only stupid on the guards part not having enough protection from the fans, but also the girls responsible for doing that kind of thing. Come on ladies, show some maturity please. You wouldn't allow a strange guy to tackle you like that so you know it is not right to do that to Rob. He still just a person like you and me. He deserves his personal space.

I have never seen such idiocy in all my life!! Those young girls/women should have been arrested. No person should have to go through what Rob went through in the name of good honest days work. The pic of him sitting balled up on the ground with his head down was so sad it brought tears to my eyes. The caption said he was tired after a long days work. Psh, it's more like he's about to have a friggin nervous breakdown. Summit execs need their butts kicked for not protecting this boy properly. They will be receiving an email/letter to let them know how appalled I am. As long as caring fans don't complain to production studios about this type of thing, nothing will really be done.

I was there at the movie set yesterday and robert did not look like he minded at all when that girl hugged him he was smiling/blushing and did not push her off. The crew even told us that they had a car for him to go from his trailer to the set but he didn't want that which means he DOES NOT mind these girls hoovering over him! he wants the publicity and the guards were rough you can't see it all on this video this girl got punched in the face and she was crying for awhile after it happened. I got stepped on a bunch of times but it was worth it.
