Amy Winehouse's bid to record the theme song for Quantum of Solace was
allegedly wrecked by drugs, ex-hubby Blake Fielder-Civil says.
Amy was asked to perform the theme song for the 2006 Bond installment but she reportedly kept bringing her pals to the recording sessions where lots of drugs and alcohol was consumed.
"It just turned into an excuse for a wild drink and drugs party. She wasn't concentrating on work," says Blake.
Amy eventually lost the out on performing the track and Alicia Keys and Jack White ended up doing it.
Blake says that the song was going to be about the relationship and her then husband. "How cool is that? To think, in 30 or 40 years people would be watching the film and still hearing the song about us. That was really amazing. But, she messed it all up."
Guess he'll just have to keep listening to Back To Black.
