Update 2:43: Donald Etra, lawyer for Rihanna just said that the "Umbrella" singer did not object to the sentencing.
Update: Chris Brown has been sentenced to formal felony probation for 60 months, that's 5 years and must report for probation within 72 hours of today's date.
Brown must complete 18-hours of manual service, not community service, which could entail washing cars, graffiti removal, and picking up trash in his home state of Virginia.
Brown must also complete a 52-week domestic violence counseling course in Virginia but he must keep in touch with his probation officer in California and make a personal appearance before a judge every three months to report on his progress with his first appearance on November 19.
The restraining order still stands and Brown must stay 100 yards away from Rihanna. 10 yards if they attend the same industry event. Brown cannot contact Rihanna at all, not on the phone or through a third person.

Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg postponed sentencing three weeks until the terms of his community labor were in place.
Those terms will be released this afternoon.
