The King of Pop was once on the radar of the the E. German secret Police --The Stasi, according to reports.
When the singer gave a concert right next to the Berlin wall in 1988 (this picture was taken from the same year, except in LA) the Stasi feared that young people would attempt to crash through the forbidden zone near Berlin's Brandenburg Gate to get as close to the wall as possible.
The Stasi planned to stage another concert to divert attention. They also warned if there was anything provocative in the western concert, transmission would be killed and a tape shown of an older Jackson concert.
