Good Lord - more toys??? That is all this so-called family ever does - buy, buy buy!! How can you expect others to become "humanitarians" when all they see you do is go shopping?? They are soo materialistic it is not even funny!! How about taking the kids to the park?? How about taking the kids to a library??? How about taking the kids to the beach?? These two are such posers!!

Here's something I would really love to see - Brad & Angie taking ALL the kids on an outing with NO NANNIES!! These two idiots accumulated too many kids in too few years to win the public's good opinion (most of the public are idiots too) and now they cannot handle their own family. This is what you get when you start a family based on lies and deceit!!

Grow up, cheryl, catt and Cyd. Just because all you guys see of them is on sites like these doesn't mean there's nothing more to their lives. You need to stop projecting, get over yourselves and find what it is that makes you seethe with rage when you see two strangers doing normal family things, and what you can do to calm yourselves down about it.

Jacques, thank you for saying that! these people have problems and they are somewhat in borderline of being twisted...i can't believe they can put so much malice in something most normal people do. My cousin goes toy shopping almost every week for my nephew and they still have time to go to our community centre, park and other activities...every time i read these kind of comment i wonder what's on that person mind, jealousy? or just plain maliciousness....

mina, i don't think "these people" have problems. they acctually pointed out a really good point. i think its about being coherent with your beliefs. it is NOT "ok" to be such a strong humanitarian on your "public life", and when you turn around, all you do is shop shop shop. it's not ok because consumism nourishes all the bad things humanitarians stand against for. hunger, injustices, violence... it is all directly conected to the big coorporations that sell us everyday products. now, i'm NOT saying that all they do is shop, because it's really not ethic to judge them by these pictures we see, because they can be awfully tendencious. these pictures are not their lifes, and all we do is create some ilusion of what we think it is.

but then, i agree with catt. It would be nice to see them doing stuff beyond shopping. my respect and admiration for their humanitarian work would grow significantly, as it would for anyone else who starts to think and act beyond your own borders. in our day lifes.

Actually, they have taken all the children on an outing. They were out with all six of the kids in New Orleans. They were seen by many, but no pictures were taken. Which, I think was a good thing. It's not healthy to have cameras shoved in your face every time you leave your house.
Both Angelina and Brad have said that they don't travel with all the children's toys. It would be to hard to drag all of that around with them. The children have a few special things that they take with them, but by and large, they don't travel with toys. They have stated that they buy new toys for the children at each destination and when they leave, they donate the toys to an orphanage, goodwill, or other charitable organizations. So, the children have new toys to play with, the parents don't have to haul crap all over the world, and children who can't afford new toys get nearly new toys. I think that's a win-win all the way around.
Angelina has said in the past that they have a tutor that travels with the family and teaches the children their lessons. You can't really complain about that. It's certainly better than a lot of the homeschooled children in this country being taught by their mothers (most of whom don't have the knowledge or education to be teaching).
I like the Jolie-Pitts. Well, as much as I can like people I don't know. They seem genuine and their children seem very happy and well adjusted. I think it's unfair that people who don't know them and have never met them judge their lives, parenting abilities, and their hearts. None of us knows what their lives are really like and therefore, we really don't have the right to judge.

This family has done more for more people (including beyond the scope of their own borders) in a shorter span of time than any other "stars" I know. How much have you done for or even thought about doing for people beyond YOUR own borders?

Why would you even presume to "judge" this family based on one photograph? You do not see these people every single moment of their lives, and the photos you see are only brief glimpses. How would you like it if your friends judged you based on a few brief snapshots of your life? Like for instance, you sitting at a computer, griping about what another family is doing? They might say, " That is how she spends every day. Sitting at her stupid computer complaining about what someone else is doing with their life!"
"Every time we 'turn around' there she is, on the computer, why doesn't she do something worthwhile with her life? My respect for her would grow considerably if I could see her doing something really helpful for someone in need!"
You see how easy it is to criticize someone YOU know NOTHING about? You have no real CLUE as to how they spend their entire day or days! there are NO photographs or videos available for you to see of their entire life in succession!

And speaking about coherent...you express yourself completely incoherently. You need to spend more time learning to think and speak before you criticize a good family you have no real knowledge about, and less time being critical. At least they are helping people.....what are you doing?

Nice to know that they do this, donate their children toys and stuff.
And I feel the same about them, I like them as much as I can like people I don't know. Especially Angelina. She is really honest and seem very genuine indeed; that's something that we don't see everyday, and even less in all this "celebrity world".

As for Lana, well, what can I say... really, you don't know me even one tiny bit to say these things... You'd be surprised, really. There's really nothing I would like to say to you, exept maybe clarify how I structured my first comment:

1) My opinion about being coherent with what you say and what you do (This being BEYOND Angie or Brad Pitt, I wasn't talking specificly about them. It's just a general comment about this subject.)
2) Now I get to the subject of the Jolie-Pitt, and, like I said, I don't know and I don't want to judge them as being consumists. They might be and the might be not.
3) My personal "fetiche". Just like I like to know about Angie's work and good heart towards Africa, it would come nicely to my eyes if I saw them going to the park or something like that. Which I'm SURE they already did and there's loads and loads and loads of picture about it; I'm just saying that I like that waaay more than a gift shop. And that is my personal belief - and fetiche and opinion and whatever you wanna call it - about it.

In the future, I really hope you can be much less agressive with people. Even the ones you don't know at all.
Maybe then we could live in a happier world!

It's really very sad to see some of these comments. Brad and Angelina have done such good things for children, poor and disenfranchised people all over the world, I can only imagine that they are raising their kids to be good people. The fact that you would judge them because they are buying toys for their kids--when we see photos of them--is SO NOT cool. I'm not sure what your problem is but it's good to see there are people commenting here and defending the Jolie-Pitts.

Also--from what I understand, these kids are learning to speak French, have good manners whenever they are out in public and interacting with everyday people--they could probably teach you a thing or two by the way--and just the fact that their parents expose them to people all over the world probably makes them really interesting children who are aware of different countries, cultures and will end up being interesting adults.

I love what Brad and Angelina have done as parents and as humanitarians and I along with a TON of people all over this world love them so your comments really only serves to make us bigger supporters.

One more thing, i like to share my experience as a mom,. That is normal buying toys EVERYTIME you go out with your children, coz they really demand for it EVERYTIME when they are outing wirth us. And of course as a mum, i will buy it for them EVERYTIME when they ask for it. Sometimes I purposely bring them to the toyshop as promises reward because being a good boy.SO, what Brangelina doing is NORMAL, even if they are going everyday to the toyshop also normal, coz there have 6 children, may be today for their girls, tommorrow for their boys, the next day for their twins. What ever they do, just let it be. They know what is the best for their chioldren.

well as a mom i dont think they areb doing that great job, i work from 9 till 5 and feel guilty about that for how about being all over the wolrd every weekend and filimg and staying away for days or for touring or foe cannes or for some other cause,,,,these guys dont spend enought ime with their kids and money cant buy that ...period....

I am 48 years old and I still buy plenty of toys because I was deprived of dolls and toys when I was younger. I buy a lot of builder toys, puzzles, books and dvds. After I am done with them I donate these stuffs to far-flung schools. The DVD's are kept as me and my kids watch them over and over again. Because of this, I ve learned more about the D-day and the attack at Normandy, several versions. So there is nothing wrong in shopping for toys, at any age, I think. These people who hates the Pitts shopping for toys are hypocrites. What will you give your child/kid if he/she asks for toys? Perhaps, get leaves from the park and imagine they are robots? Come on!!!
