I agree dave. This movie has 'lick my nards' written all over it. I hope when the movie comes out, and actually does lick my nards, that they send someone over from the studio (preferably an attractive asian girl) to give me a handjarb to compensate for the cost of my ticket. What do you say? Bring in your stub to Seth Rogen's Green Hornet and receive a complementary handjarb, courtesy of the weinsteins. That should fill seats.

I was skeptical at first, but the more I see, the more encouraged I am. Seth just might pull this one off. We'll see......

That's always the case with stuntmen, they always look better than the lead actor no matter who it is. But they don't act so there lies the problem.

Maybe the freaky gun is a clue. This is Michael Gondry, after all. It's going to be odd, and maybe that's the intent of the kind of amateurish costumes. It's in all in what they intend to do with the material. I know I'm not expecting anything like we've seen before, so in that way, my interest is hightened. I just don't want to see that kind of approach to all big films, especially when the adapt Pyramids of Mars, based on my fave online graphic novel (www.pyramidsofmars.com)

it should be a guy who already looks like green hornet - the guy off mad men - who turns out to be funny as hell, if that's gondry's idea. it would be difficult to take this rogen version seriously as any kind of threat, even in a parody universe.

What's the point. The draw for the original show was Bruce. You can put a rock in the hornet costume...won't change a thing.

I've been a little cold on this flick ever since I learned we weren't going to see Stephen Chow as Kato, but I gotta say: I like the look of these costumes. I don't see the comparison to 'The Spirit' flick at all: The Spirit was hyperstylized, GH is keeping it simple. The costumes look like they came straight out of the sixties version, and the new one-handed gas gun looks cool as hell.

I'll withhold final judgment til I see the film's Black Beauty.

It's not Jay Chou, tan xiang ning... he was talking about the actual STUNT man... As in, the other white guy behind Kato and GH wearing green too. (He's only in the last pic)

And he does look more the part!

Does anyone know who manufactured the Black Beauty model for Comic Con??? Someone told me it was www.RetailDisplaysAndProps.com since their group designs and fabricates themed 3-D props, scale replicas and other visual merchandising displays and stuff, but I don't see any pics of it on their website. I can't wait for this movie!!!!!
