No surprise here!

New Moon scored big it's first weekend with $140.7 million.

The highly-anticipated sequel is the third largest opening in domestic box-office history behind Dark Knight ( $158 million) and Spiderman 3 ($151 million). 

Movie-goers, who have been lining up for days to catch the initial screening, were mostly female (80%) and under the age of 21 (50%).

These teens helped New Moon's debut more than double Twilight's, which took home $69.6 million and went on to gross $192.8 million stateside.

Based on these figures, the second installment is expected to bring in over $380 domestically, if not more.

New Moon has already set the record for the biggest single day opening ($72.7 million) and most advanced ticket sales. 

Will it beat out reigning champ Titanic...which brought in over $600 million???

We guess that's up to the Twi-hards to decide!

Dr. Conrad Murray, who's currently being investigated by police for his role in the death of Michael Jackson, arrived at his Houston clinic to resume work for the first time since the King of Pop's death on June 25.

We caught a glimpse of Katherine Heigl and baby Naleigh leaving Heigl's sister's baby shower in Los Feliz, CA.

It seems like the whole fam has lots to celebrate!

Naleigh celebrates her first birthday today, while the Grey's Anatomy star turns thirty-one tomorrow.

Kat previously said of the coincidence:

"She was actually born the day before me in November, which I thought was really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign.  I realized just recently that I basically forfeited my birthday for the rest of my life."

They're just too cute!!

It was quite the day for Katie Holmes and co.

Holmes toted 3-year-old Suri and her stepdaughter Isabella Cruise all around town.

The gals did a little shopping at Top Shop, grabbed a bite to eat at Baltazaars and checked out a ballet performance at the Joyce Theatre before snacking on some sweets at Serendipity 3.

By the end of the day little Suri was all tuckered out and had to be carried by mom.

With a day like that, we can't say we blame her!
