Prosecutors are poised to re-open the investigation into the death of former
Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith.
The move comes after Smith's former lawyer, Howard K. Stern, and two of her doctors,
were charged with conspiring to provide her with thousands of prescription drugs over the three-year period up to her death in 2007.
The charges were brought in California where Smith lived for much of her adult life.
But now authorities in Florida, where Smith died of a massive drugs overdose at the Seminole Hard Rock Resort in Hollywood, have met with their counterparts in California.
Ron Ishoy, spokesman for the Fort Lauderdale-based State Attorney Mike Satz, intimated that the Florida death investigation could be re-opened.

Anna Nicole Smith's former boyfriend/lawyer has been charged with conspiracy to help get drugs for the late model.
Howard K. Stern, and two other doctors who wrote prescriptions for Smith were charged Thursday for obtaining drugs for the reality TV star, who died of an accidental prescription drug-overdose in 2007.
Stern, psychiatrist Kristine Eroshevich and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor are each facing a count of felony conspiracy to obtain drugs for Smith and 'prescribing, administering or dispensing a controlled substance to an addict.
Dr. Kapoor's office was raided by Drug Enforcement Agency officials last month after a tip off from the California Medical Board.
Stern and Kapoor have also been charged with a single count of unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance between June 9, 2004, and September 22, 2006, and Stern and Eroshevich received the same charge for prescriptions they gave out between June 5, 2004 and January 26, 2007.

Anna Nicole's former boyfriend, Howard K. Stern has launched a $60m lawsuit following claims of a gay affair.
Stern who was the late Playmate's lover and lawyer, has taken legal action against U.S journalist Rita Cosby.
Apparently Cosby made allegations of a gay affair between Stern and Anna Nicole's ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead, in her book 'Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story behind Anna Nicole Smith's Death'.
However both parties have vehemently denied all claims saying they are lies.
The New York Post reports that Stern is seeking $10m in compensatory damages and $50m in damages against Cosby, and publishers Cosby and Hachette Book Group USA.
Stern's lawsuit says he has been falsely accused of criminal lewd acts, homosexual acts, illegal possession and use of cocaine, kidnapping for ransom and conspiring to commit murder.
"'Blonde Ambition' purports to be a 'tell-all' book, but it can only be accurate described as a 'tell-all-lies' book," Stern's lawyer Lin Wood said.
M.L Trope, a lawyer for Birkhead, has indicated that his client will also file a lawsuit.
Oooh I can’t wait to get my copy!

Willa Ford
has been picked to star in an indie production of an Anna Nicole biopic, cleverly titled "Anna Nicole." Instead of breaking any new ground by telling us what made Anna Nicole into Anna Nicole (the important stuff, like home life, being raised by Virgie, family life, sories of abuse, being poor, etc) the film is going to tell us everything we already know.
Movie will cover Smith's life from age 17 until her death in February at 39, including her success as a Playboy centerfold, Guess model and actress, her marriage to billionaire oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II, the death of her son and her own death five months after giving birth to a baby girl, Dannielynn. The dispute that erupted over who was the baby's father was settled Tuesday when a judge in the Bahamas ruled, based on DNA tests, in favor of California photographer and former Smith boyfriend Larry Birkhead.
So get ready for a recap of everything you watched and read over the last several months but from an indie point of view starring an "actress" known for an appearance on Dancing With The Stars, hosting the Ultimate Fighter series, singing a few songs you never heard, and appearing in the "Lingere Bowl."
Actually, she might fit the part.
