Ashlee Simpson has apologized after a boozy confrontation with her husband's ex at a party, it has been claimed.

Reports are saying that the evening started off civilly between Ashlee and Michelle Trachtenberg, but after a few drinks, the younger Simpson got out of control.

She allegedly gave Wentz a lap dance while staring at his ex.

A rep for Simpson said the whole thing was a misunderstanding and Ashlee has apologized to Michelle and they remain on good terms.
