Diva Beyonce became unusually camera shy over the weekend as she departed the much loved Waverly Inn restaurant in NYC. After a hearty Sunday dinner, the singer exited the eatery in a thick black jacket and cap. According to PageSix.com Beyonce Knowles has been hand picked to portray Etta James 'Cadillac Records,' a biopic about the blues singer's life.

Producers have informed Etta that she'll get the chance to consult with the 26-year-old Destiny's Child star, giving her pointers on both the acting and the singing — the latter being something the "At Last" singer was most concerned with when she got wind of the casting.

You know what Etta James should be concerned with? Cedric The Entertainer being cast in a movie about her. This guy has the reverse midas touch when it comes to movies. Aretha Franklin is reportedly pissed at Beyonce for introducing Tina Turner at the Grammy's as "the queen" and since there was nothing to shove in her mouth like there usually is, she's speaking out about this so-called "diss."

I am not sure of whose toes I may have stepped on or whose ego I may have bruised between the Grammy writers and Beyonce," Franklin said in a statement issued by her publicist. "However, I dismissed it as a cheap shot for controversy.

After the award show, a still angry Aretha calmed herself down by consuming 4 whole pigs, each cooked differently (Smoked, BBQ, Kalua, and Muu-Haan style) followed by cleaning out a Hollywood area Chevron of all their candy, ice cream, and cake-like deserts. You know that Guinness world record guy that can shove 400 cigarettes in his mouth and smoke them all at once? Aretha can do that with twinkies. Anyway, Beyonce's father, like an good gravy-trainer, has come to his meal ticket's defense and spoke with CelebTV.com.

I am not taking something this ridiculous to Beyonce. Beyonce referred to Tina Turner as a 'queen.' Not queen of gospel, queen of soul, queen of blues, Queen of England. I consider my wife a queen and sometimes call her that. Does Aretha have a problem with that?

Beyonce Knowles was just a slice of fabric away from a fashion 'faux pas' at last nights Grammy Awards. The singer arrived in floor length yellow dress, and as she posed on the red carpet she turned to reveal her sexy back. Although the star had a sheer piece of material covering her skin, it was only a lifted piece of the gown that covered her bootylicious bum crack. One tiny tear and the singer come actress could have been blushing all the way home. Long term beau Jay Z also joined girlfriend Beyonce on the red carpet. The first pics of Jay-Z and Beyonce in 2008 have surfaced! They were seen in New York yesterday looking. . . well, I'll have you guys choose one: 1. Miserable, 2. Tired, 3. Possibly unshowered, or 4. Just ticked. From what I can see, Beyonce is completely fresh-faced here and without a stitch of makeup-- it's been a while since I've seen her like that. I like the change.

Beyonce looked like a giant Ferrero Rocher as she graced the red carpet at the 2007 American Music Awards. She was fussed upon, yanked, pulled and positioned while being made photographable at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Her lady lumps looked like they would have rather been at home, as they tried to escape her dress nipple first. Still, this type of gown is what makes her look like a star. Nicely done Miss Knowles.
